MTW missionary Brent Kooi is the director of City Sanctum, a ministry reaching out to city workers in Sydney, Australia. City Sanctum, as the name indicates, is a sanctuary, a resting place to come after a hard week or a hard month of working in the day-to-day work world.

The purpose of City Sanctum is two-fold. It aims to minister to Christians who are working in a difficult work environment, exploring the interaction of faith and work, and how to be a Christian in a secular world. But it’s also a place where it’s easy to invite non-Christian friends and coworkers to explore those topics with you. It’s not a Bible study, it’s not a praise time, but it is a time of talking about work from a Christian perspective.
