Sydney is a gateway to the Asia-Pacific region, with fluid movement of people in and out of the city, back into Asia, and beyond. As the late John Kyle, former MTW coordinator once said, “Thousands are moving from the country to the city. In one city alone there can be dozens of complex ethnic groups, a barrier just a formidable as tribal groups.”

For this reason we believe Sydney is a very strategic global city. To that end our team has established Harbour City Church, from which we hope to plant more churches across Sydney, and from there to other countries in Asia. The team is also involved in Student Outreach to the World, a ministry to college students at five major universities in Sydney, preparing them for a lifetime of discipleship, raising up leaders for the local and global Church. They have also started City Sanctum, an outreach to the business world, which focuses on personal relationships with young professionals, allowing them to discuss the intersection of faith and work. Through these ministries, our team aims to make disciples of all nations, growing the kingdom both in Sydney and throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
